Compassion goes into the creation of each figure. They have names and personalities. They have stories to tell. I empathize with the tired 80-year old knees, the ankles that carry too much weight, the strength of the muscles from years of physical labor, the soft rib cage that holds the lungs, breathing in the same air all of our ancestors breathed out. We are all so connected through time and space. Each figure has a lesson to teach us, about who we can be if we strive to be our best to each other. Altogether is the only way forward.
