I like to sculpt fast and quick; seizing the moment with the model, with the idea, with the feeling. How to make it alive, dynamic, instantaneous? I want to capture life as it truly is; when I take my eyes off it, there is always change. The sun sets, the model ages, the rider disappears around the bend. There is no neat little formula to keep things controlled. We must be willing to ride the chaos into the unknown. When I'm rushed or uneasy or out of my comfort zone, I find that I work more honestly, more focused, more intensely. Life is movement. Life is change. Embrace it.
