The Ballet International Foundation commissioned this sculpture in 2006, as an award for talented young dancers around the world. I wanted to create a work that would celebrate the athleticism of both the male and female dancer equally, while still keeping them in harmony. The spiraling fabric resembles a strand of DNA, reminding us that we will forever be connected to each other through our humanity.
