Freedom Bound - Pittsburgh, PA, 2008
Freedom Bound (Point Park) commissioned by Jack Tomayko, a long time friend and collector, who loved figurative works and art collecting. His calling was in spreading the word of art and sharing it with others. It began over 30 years ago doing 'Salon style’ art exhibits in his home to creating an art museum to show his permanent collection. In 2015 he began The Tomayko Foundation to foster creativity for Pittsburgh and beyond. The foundation awards grants to emerging artists as well as acts as a steward to preserve works of art that would have otherwise been lost. My sculpture “Freedom Bound” was created uniquely for Mr. Tomayko. It is on permanent display near the entrance of the Point Park University Performing Arts Center.
